Rename standard field labels and allow translation to multiple languages

Custom fields already offer the ability to add new fields with the field name you require. However, you can't currently rename standard fields, or include translations to other languages. e.g. Your company may refer to support Cases as Tickets and it would be useful to be able to be able to rename Cases to Tickets.

This will make adoption of Workbooks easier as your users will be familiar with the terms and menu options Start > New > "Ticket" instead of the standard Start > New > Case.

Also, if your company operates in more than one language then you could have the English word for Case, as well as other languages. It would be ideal if Users and System Administrators could define their language in their Preference settings.

The ability to rename tabs e.g. Rename Opportunities to Jobs & Projects as this term better suits our business amongst others would be ideal and most useful. I believe it would help users also adapt and learn how to use the system quicker.

CRM as a process and concept works best when the field labels directly reflect the nomenclature of the company using the product. For instance, I would rather use "Company" than "Organisation" or "Contact" rather than "People."For one, the learning curve and is reduced and adoption rate is increased when familiar terms are reflected in a new process. The creation of custom fields to replace standard fields simply makes the dynamic and administration more complex than it needs to be.
