  Occassionally bulk modification may be required example of such is re-asignment of Organisations to a new queue.
  At the moment one have to go into each organisation record and assign to the said queue. But Bulk update can allow such activity to be competed very quickly with minimum fuss.

  There are many examples of bulk modifications that one can site. Hope this helps.

  Bulk updates of changes of address - Company A moves from 123 Accia Avenue to 456 Fetter Lane.

  I'd like to be able to re-assign leads in bulk to a user. Particularly useful for campaigns, or when a colleague leaves. Mass delete too. These would hopefully be only functions available to admin users where possible.
  Potentially 'source' would be useful too.
